Bryana Jackson established Hurricane Cheer Athletics in 2014 with a vision to offer affordable all star cheer to underdeveloped communities. With over 27 years experience, Bryana continues to instill the importance of leadership skills, self-confidence, and positivity into each athlete that walks through HCA's doors. With her mission and vision in mind, she created HCA to focus on molding athletes both inside and outside of the gym. Bryana is an USASF certified coach since 2014. She holds a master in Educations and teaches elementary education.

Katrina is an USASF certified coach. She holds over 20 years of cheer experience. Katrina's cheer career started at the age of 5 and continued to her senior year of high school. With the cheer knowledge she gained, Katrina wanted to share her passion with other young cheerleaders which prompted her to start her coaching career. She has been with HCA since 2017 and is excited to see HCA teams grow and soar to new heights. She holds a bachelors from the University of Oklahoma and is a full time Communications professional. 

Nia has five years of competitive cheer and high school cheer experience. In addition, she holds five years of coaching experience. "Cheerleading is my favorite sport, and I enjoy training young athletes that love the sport too", said Nia. As a coach, she wants to inspire, motivate and support athletes in becoming not only stronger cheerleaders but also confident individuals. Nia currently is a middle teacher and holds her Bachelors in Educational Studies.  

Tevia started cheering at the age of 14 for her high school in California. Once she made the varsity team her sophomore year, she knew this was something she was confident in, good at, and loved doing. In Tevia’s senior year, she was captain (in the cheer world, that’s a huge deal). 

Cheerleading is her favorite sport, and after college, she coached her high school alma mater’s cheer team for three years. Later on, she became a coach for younger athletes, as she has always loved working with the youth and wanted to combine two things she loves.

Her favorite thing about cheer is stunting! The best part is being part of and seeing stunts progress from where they started to where they can go. Plus, this is the best time to see individuals work as a team! 

Tevia holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and is currently an elementary school teacher. 

Cheerleading has been a cornerstone of Darnique's life since grade school, shaping her identity and providing a sense of purpose that has lasted through college and beyond. With over a decade of competitive cheer experience, Darnique had the incredible opportunity to travel the world, representing her teams and forging lifelong friendships along the way. Holding the position of cheer captain for four years in high school taught her invaluable lessons in leadership, teamwork, and resilience.

Now, as a cheer coach, she find immense joy in sharing her passion with the next generation. Watching athletes grow, both in skill and confidence, fills Darnique's heart with pride. There’s something profoundly rewarding about helping them discover their potential and encouraging them to push their limits. Coaching isn’t just about teaching routines; it’s about instilling a sense of community and empowering young individuals to believe in themselves. Every practice, every performance, and every moment shared strengthens her's spirit and reaffirming love for this sport.
